According to a survey by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, approximately 7 out of 10 consumers are bothered by submental fullness (aka double chin). Submental fullness can affect both women and men of all ages and weight, and it is often resistant to diet and exercise. Thankfully we have a non-surgical solution to help destroy a double chin – Kybella!

Kybella is a patented formulation of deoxycholic acid, a naturally-occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into subcutaneous fat, Kybella causes the destruction of fat cells, followed by a natural healing and elimination process to improve the chin profile. Once destroyed, the treated cells cannot store or accumulate fat.

For optimal results, patients receive Kybella in a series of treatments spaced about six weeks apart. Many patients experienced visible results in two to four treatments but up to six treatments may be needed. Once the desired result is achieved, re-treatment is not expected.

For patients who want a non-surgical neck lift, we can combine Kybella with dermal fillers and/or skin tightening devices for a dramatic improvement to the jawline.
